Terms of Service

1. Service Description

ShieldGuard is an AI API protection platform operated by CJB Digital Solutions Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"). The service provides rate limiting, threat detection, cost monitoring, and abuse prevention for AI and machine learning API endpoints. By accessing or using ShieldGuard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. User Accounts and Responsibilities

To use ShieldGuard, you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old or have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use this service.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse ShieldGuard or access it by any means other than through the interfaces and instructions provided by us. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

• Abusing, attacking, or interfering with ShieldGuard or any connected API endpoints
• Scraping, crawling, or indexing ShieldGuard's content or any data processed through the platform
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of ShieldGuard
• Using ShieldGuard to protect any service that violates applicable laws or third-party rights
• Attempting to bypass rate limits, security controls, or access restrictions
• Using ShieldGuard for any malicious, fraudulent, or illegal purpose

4. Rate Limits and Fair Use

ShieldGuard enforces rate limits based on your selected plan. These limits apply to API requests processed through our platform. Exceeding your plan's rate limits may result in throttling or temporary suspension of service. We reserve the right to implement fair-use policies to maintain platform stability for all users. Upgrading your plan increases your allotment. Repeated abuse of fair-use allowances may result in account review.

5. API Key Security

You are solely responsible for the security and confidentiality of your API keys. Never share or expose your API keys in public repositories, websites, or unsecured channels. Any activity using your API keys will be attributed to your account. If you suspect your key has been compromised, regenerate it immediately from your dashboard and contact us at support@cjbwebdevelopment.com.

6. Limitation of Liability

ShieldGuard is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CJB Digital Solutions Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, API downtime, or unauthorized access arising from your use of ShieldGuard. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these terms shall not exceed the fees paid by you for the service during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to ShieldGuard at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections relating to limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination. Outstanding payment obligations remain enforceable after termination.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. CJB Digital Solutions Ltd is a company registered under the laws of the United Kingdom.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available at this page. Continued use of ShieldGuard after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
